HERE IS THE FINE PRINT

We meet once a week, every Saturday from 12–4 PM (May through December, Eastern Time). These weekly briefings cover every part of the mission: business, coding, CAD, media, marketing, electrical, and robot build. Along the way, we host live demos, workshops, and outreach events to sharpen our skills and share them with the community. Operatives are high school students between 13–18 years old. There is no participation fee; instead, every teammate is expected to take part in demos and fundraising campaigns. Here’s a look at the operative expectations—you’ll be part of a crew that balances technical work with teamwork, creativity, and execution.

Each year, we take on the challenge of building an industrial-size robot to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition. The new game is released every January, and from that moment we have about six weeks to design, build, test, and refine our machine. Our season begins with two local qualifiers, continues at the state competition, and culminates at the World Championship in Houston, Texas, where more than 600 teams from across the globe come together to compete.
